What are the responsibilities and job description for the Early Childhood Teacher; Full-Time Preschool Teacher position at Foundations Learning Center?
Qualifications:
- Education: At minimum, a High school diploma or GED. Associate or Bachelor degrees in related fields preferred
- Previous experience working with young children. Lead teaching experience preferred
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws governing child care
- Comply with local, state, and federal laws governing child care
- Participate in necessary background checks and trainings
- Ability to meet physical demands of caring for young children
Responsibilities:
- Implement an overall curriculum for the classroom
- From the curriculum, implement units of study that include daily lessons
- Plan and create activities to reinforce the lessons
- Communicate with center leadership and with parents to meet each child’s cognitive, emotional, physical and social needs
- Work closely with assistants and volunteers to create a safe and engaging learning environment
- Maintain records of the progress made by children and report this information to parents every 6 months
- Develop a plan with the director for professional growth and development
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.50 per hour
