Accounts Payable Specialist - Mission Plaza

Position Description: The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist oversees all facets of the payables process, including invoice entry, payment preparation, and related administrative tasks. This role requires regular interaction with vendors and internal team members to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial operations. This role is 100% onsite with no remote option.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable & Financial Processing

• Process and review accounts payable transactions, including allocation calculations and bulk check requests
• Enter, review, and approve electronic payments (e.g., ACH, utilities, positive pay)
• Print and mail checks, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments
• Maintain up-to-date and accurate cash ledgers and financial records

Reporting & Documentation

• Generate accounts payable reports for senior leadership review and approval
• Create, organize, and maintain comprehensive AP documentation and records
• Review and update vendor profiles to ensure accuracy and compliance

Issue Resolution & Support

• Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies or vendor issues in a timely manner
• Provide support to vendors and employees regarding account inquiries and payment status

General Accounting & Administrative Support

• Assist with additional accounting functions and general office tasks as needed to support department operations

Minimum Requirements:

• Accounting associate degree (or higher) or equivalent work experience 
• 2 years of Accounting experience 
• Intermediate Microsoft Office experience required 
• NetSuite experience preferred

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Constantly: walking, sitting at a desk, grasping/gripping, bending/stooping/squatting, finger dexterity, computer input, coordination of hand, eye & foot

Frequently: standing for long periods of time, climb stairs, twisting

Occasionally: reach above shoulder height, lift 20-30 lbs., do push/pull motions, and driving.

Compensation

$23.00/hourly
