What are the responsibilities and job description for the Designer position at Foster Partners?
We are looking for exceptional Architectural Designers with strong Revit and design skills to join our growing Nashville team.
An ideal candidate will have between 1-4 years of professional experience post education and have ideally has exposure to all Architectural Design Stages across medium to large-scale projects.
Foster Partners is a multidisciplinary studio, which will give you the chance to work on an exciting range complex projects across a truly global team. This role will give you the chance to work across one of Nashville's most notable design schemes, alongside a team whose unique design ethos is underpinned by our approach to design innovation and cutting-edge research.
We are a collaborative studio, who are keen to mentor and support those who are continuing to develop themselves within their architectural careers.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, develop and edit drawings, models, images and design documents under the guidance of Project Leaders and senior team.
- Explore and develop design options for team review and discussion.
- Seek to understand the design project through all its stages and iterations.
- Support wider project needs and contribute to team delivery.
- Assist, where required, in supporting the Project Leader and wider team across various project needs.
- Contribute, or otherwise assist, as required by Partner or Senior Partner.
Skills Qualifications
- Degree in Architecture with a recognised accreditation, e.g. AIA, NCARB, ARB or RIBA etc.
- 1-4 years of professional experience.
- Legal eligibility to work in the country where the role is based.
- Strong organisational, creative and presentation skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and able to work well independently and as part of an effective team.
- Proficient in Revit.
- Ability to also use some of the following: Rhino, Grasshopper Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
