What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Fund Accountant position at Forum Group Connecticut, LLC?
We are conducting a search for a Senior Fund Accountant to join a well-established alternatives platform with a focus on private infrastructure and drawdown / closed-end fund structures. This is a high-ownership role with strong exposure to fund operations, reporting, and cross-functional partners.
Responsibilities
- Review monthly closes prepared by the fund administrator and own key tie-outs and reconciliations
- Support quarterly and annual financial reporting processes, including trial balance, cash flow support, and footnote tie-outs
- Manage core fund accounting deliverables for closed-end / drawdown vehicles, including investor allocations and capital activity support
- Coordinate deliverables with fund admin, auditors, and tax providers to ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Support new product / vehicle launches from an accounting and reporting perspective
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, controls, and operating procedures
Qualifications
- 4 years of experience in fund accounting within alternatives (private equity, private credit, real assets, infrastructure, hedge fund, or fund admin)
- Strong understanding of closed-end or drawdown fund structures preferred
- Advanced Excel required (macros a plus)
- CPA preferred (not required)
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working with deadlines and multiple stakeholders
