Under general supervision, the Maintenance Millwright performs various maintenance and construction tasks while engaged in the installation, maintenance, and repair of all types of plant machinery and equipment and in fabrication and construction of plant machinery and equipment. Installs, repairs levels, and aligns all types of machinery and equipment. Practices on a wide scale preventive maintenance to anticipate and to prevent equipment trouble.

Under general supervision, the Maintenance Millwright performs various maintenance and construction tasks while engaged in the installation, maintenance, and repair of all types of plant machinery and equipment and in fabrication and construction of plant machinery and equipment. Installs, repairs levels, and aligns all types of machinery and equipment. Practices on a wide scale preventive maintenance to anticipate and to prevent equipment trouble.
What You Will Do
- Unloads moves, dismantles, and installs new and old machinery as required.
- Reads and interprets blueprints and fabricates items using all types of metal.
- Performs various blacksmith, welding, and pipe fitting duties.
- Directs apprentices in performing less complex work. Performs related duties as required.
What you will need:
- Preferably one year experience in manufacturing setting
- HS Diploma or GED preferred
- Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen
- Use a computer to read order specifications, update databases, and retrieve/update data as required.
- Able to accurately take measurements using a tap measure and calipers.
- Use hand tools, power tools and drive fork trucks and use push carts in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ability to lift up to 60lbs and on occasion push/pull 100lbs, also to sit, kneel and stoop.
- Must be able to add & subtract fractions and whole numbers and convert fractions to decimals.
- Ability to read, follow, and understand work instructions from both written and verbal sources and basic writing skills.
