Substitute Teacher - Retired FWCS Teacher

PURPOSE

To fill the role of teacher when the regular teacher is unavailable creating a consistent and positive learning experience.

IMPORTANT DETAILS

Work Schedule: School year
Work Hours: Elementary School: 7:45am-3:45pm; Middle and High Schools: 7:10am-3:10pm

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a teacher who retired from Fort Wayne Community Schools
Sincere belief in educating all students to high standards
Ability to communicate effectively
Ability to follow and implement instructions successfully

Substitute Teacher pay is based on completed education level and licensing:

FWCS retired teacher with valid Indianateaching license: $170 per day
Substitute Teacher pay for long-term assignments: Contracted teacher daily rate starting on the 16th consecutive day in thesame assignment with valid Indiana teaching license.
