Fort Hudson Registered Nurses practice at their highest level – and use their license to oversee resident care delivery practices. They observe resident response to treatment and direct the smooth operation of the nursing facility. RNs have extensive resident contact every day and are an ESSENTIAL part of the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements?
a. Education/Training: Graduate of accredited School of Nursing with a current license to practice Nursing in NYS. Courses or certificate in supervisory skills and/or managerial skills helpful.
b. Skills: Leadership skills a must. Must have the ability to deal tactfully and fairly with staff, visitors, residents, governmental agents and physicians. Able to make independent decisions and respond appropriately to emergency situations. Assessment skills are a must.
c. Must maintain a current CPR Certification.
d. Must be able to start and maintain an IV.
e. Experience: A minimum of 3 years nursing experience with some supervisory experience helpful.
f. Physical Demands: Sit, stand, walk, bend, crouch, lift 50 lbs and move intermittently throughout day.
