Fort Bend Christian Academy is accepting applications for a Part-Time Upper School Theology Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year, specifically in the Fall Semester. Course load will include three sections of Systematic Theology. For this course, a bachelor’s degree and either an advanced academic degree or a seminary degree are required. The ideal candidate will have teaching experience, extensive knowledge in the subject area, and a passion to teach and disciple young adults in secondary education. If a candidate does not have teaching experience, pastoral or other ministerial experience may be considered. Preference is given to candidates with multiple years of experience. Independent school experience will be considered a plus.
Qualifications
The Upper School Teacher will:

Participate regularly in worship at a Christian church.
Be able to articulate a deep, biblically-centered philosophy of Christian education.

Scope of Responsibilities
The Upper School Teacher will be expected to:
Teach, supervise, direct, and evaluate students in grade(s) and subject(s) as defined by the administration in a manner consistent with a Christian education and the philosophies of Fort Bend Christian Academy.
Provide biblically integrated instruction consistent with the school’s “Statement of Faith” and “Declaration of Values.”
Model and promote exceptional academic instruction and learning.
Facilitate and maintain a safe classroom environment conducive to learning.
Stimulate higher-level reasoning and critical thinking among students in the classroom.
Maintain communication with students and parents in a timely and professional manner.
Be available for help outside of the classroom.
Participate in extracurricular school activities such as club sponsorship, chaperoning dances and/or travel, occasionally helping with athletic and fine arts events, and attending some extracurricular school activities.
Pursue opportunities for continuing teacher education and collaboration with professional colleagues.
Responsibly comply with and promote the unity and order of the school.
