What are the responsibilities and job description for the Media Assistant and Testing Coordinator position at FORSYTH COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL INC?
The Media Assistant and Testing Coordinator provides support functions in the Library and serves as the school’s testing coordinator. This is a 10-month position.
Primary Responsibilities
- Processes and inventories information resources.
- Assists with maintaining the school’s resource collection (filing and shelving resources), performs circulation duties for materials in the library, and oversees all library equipment.
- Assists students and staff with the location of information resources both in print and electronic.
- Monitors student use of the library during the school day.
- Organizes the school-wide testing schedules; develops a site-specific test administration plan for each assessment event to include: identifying test administrators and proctors, test locations, and testing groups for regular administration and special accommodations.
- Trains test administrators and proctors on ethical testing, test security, test administration, accommodations, and data reporting procedures.
Job Requirements:

Ability to read, interpret, and provide technical guidance to others.

Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel) and Google Suite (Sheets, Docs, Slides).

Knowledge of library procedures and education practices including the ability to process materials involving numbers with a high degree of accuracy.

Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships while remaining flexible in accepting a variety of job assignments.

Ability to provide effective training to staff and students.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of work experience in library work or education.
Essential Functions:

Regularly required to walk, including across uneven ground, talk, hear, reach with hands and arms, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds

Must be able to sit and stand throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat

Must be able to operate a computer and have intermediate knowledge of Google Workspace (or Microsoft Office)

Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the school and other facilities as needed
