The Role
We are currently working with a rapidly growing sports and entertainment organization who are seeking a Senior Director, Partnership Sales with a strong commercial “hunter” mindset to drive significant revenue growth through strategic sponsorships and partnerships. This individual will own the partnerships vision and play a critical role in monetizing a diverse portfolio of sports assets and IP across multiple formats.
This is a senior leadership position suited to someone who can both close high-value deals and architect long-term commercial strategies with brands, agencies, and rights holders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the overall partnerships and sponsorship strategy, aligned with ambitious growth targets.
- Identify, approach, and secure high-value sponsorship and partnership agreements.
- Act as the senior commercial lead on complex negotiations, including long-term and rights-based deals.
- Develop and structure integrated partnership solutions spanning sponsorship, branded content, media, and activation.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with brands, agencies, and strategic partners.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with content, marketing, production, and sales teams to ensure successful delivery of partnerships.
- Identify new revenue opportunities by staying ahead of trends across sport, media, and sponsorship.
- Support the build-out of the partnerships function, including processes, frameworks, and future team development.
Key Requirements:
- 10 years’ experience in sports sponsorship, partnerships, or commercial leadership roles.
- Proven track record of closing high-value, multi-faceted partnership deals.
- Experience leading and scaling commercial or partnerships teams.
- Strong understanding of sports IP, rights holders, and the wider sponsorship ecosystem.
- Strategic mindset combined with a hands-on, results-driven approach.
