Prep Cook Garde Manger

Forsgate Country Club is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Prep Cook Garde Manger to join our culinary team! In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting visually appealing cold dishes, salads, charcuterie, and garnishes that elevate our menu offerings. Your expertise in food handling, knife skills, and food safety will ensure that every plate meets our high standards of quality and freshness. Duties

• Prepare cold dishes such as salads, appetizers, and garnishes with precision and creativity
• Assemble and present charcuterie boards, antipasto platters, and other visually appealing cold presentations
• Ensure all food handling practices adhere to safety standards and sanitation regulations
• Assist in menu planning by providing input on presentation styles and ingredient selections
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, refrigeration units, and tools to uphold food safety standards
• Handle food with care during preparation, storage, and transportation to prevent contamination
• Support catering events by preparing cold dishes in bulk while maintaining quality control

Experience

• Prior experience in cold kitchen
• Proven background in food preparation within restaurant or catering environments
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
• Skilled in knife techniques, meal preparation, and culinary presentation
• Experience with menu planning and creating appealing cold dishes is a plus
• Familiarity with kitchen equipment used for food prep and storage
• Background in the food industry or restaurant experience demonstrating teamwork and efficiency
