POSITION SUMMARY
The HR Coordinator is responsible for ensuring consistency, compliance, and efficiency across all human resources functions. This position plays a key role in maintaining accurate employee records, fostering a professional and compliant workplace environment, and ensuring that all HR practices and processes are carried out with accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with company policies, employment regulations, and organizational standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Perform human resources functions that ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with company policies and applicable employment laws.
- Coordinate recruitment activities, including job postings, candidate communication, interview scheduling, and pre-employment documentation.
- Conduct new hire orientation and ensure completion of all required onboarding, training, and employment documentation.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, HRIS data, and compliance documentation in accordance with record retention requirements.
- Review and monitor timekeeping records to ensure accuracy for payroll processing and adherence to attendance policies.
- Provide administrative and documentation support for employee relations matters, investigations, and performance-related actions.
- Support compliance initiatives, including internal audits, safety documentation, injury reporting, and verification of training records.
- Process benefit enrollments, changes, and terminations, ensuring timely and accurate communication with employees and providers.
- Prepare and maintain HR reports and metrics related to staffing, onboarding, timekeeping, and turnover.
- Collaborate with supervisors and management to promote consistent application of company policies and HR procedures.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy in all HR-related work.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma is required
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of federal and state employment laws, HR policies, and recordkeeping requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers to handle documents, operate office equipment, and perform data entry tasks.
- Occasional walking within the facility to attend meetings or assist with onboarding and training sessions.
- Periodic standing for extended periods during orientations, employee events, or other HR-related activities.
- Occasional lifting or carrying of files, documents, and office supplies weighing up to 15 pounds.
- Ability to maintain focus and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Visual acuity to read and review detailed reports, data, and information on both paper and electronic displays.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with HRIS and timekeeping systems.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills in managing multiple priorities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with employees, supervisors, and management.
- Demonstrated dependability, integrity, and commitment to maintaining compliance and process consistency within HR operations..
- WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The position is primarily performed in a professional office setting within a manufacturing facility.
- Regular interaction with employees, supervisors, and management across multiple departments is required.
- The role may occasionally involve entering production or warehouse areas where the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required.
- The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate but may vary when visiting production areas.
- Standard business hours apply; however, occasional flexibility may be required to support employee events, orientations, or company functions.
- The position requires the ability to remain professional and composed in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
