Schedule: Monday-Friday 6am-3pm
This role entails operating and performing routine maintenance on a packaging machine while ensuring that finalized products are adequately prepared for distribution. A successful packaging machine operator must possess an exceptional attention to detail and have the capacity to troubleshoot minor problems. It is therefore imperative that this individual is well-versed in the intricacies of the packaging machine to ensure that it operates efficiently and without disruptions.
In the absence of the Machine Operator, or a same-level trained employee, the supervisor will oversee the daily duties and responsibilities regarding operation workflow and adherence to the SOPs and cGMPs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Operating the machinery used for packaging products in the manufacturing area daily.
• Prepare machines to start a production cycle, performing calibration٫, cleaning, and other activities. • Starting up and stopping the machine as necessary, including refilling packaging material. • Performing routine checks to ensure that the machine is in an operable state. • Executing preventative maintenance on the machine and maintaining the cleanliness of equipment • and the work area. • Conduct tests to check the operation of machines٫ r</p>egularly. • Ensuring the correct packaging is used for specific product ranges and that packaging is done in line. • with the company standards. • Inspecting final products. • Reporting faulty packaging or problems on the machines to the relevant managers. • Moving completed boxes of products to the correct inventory area. • Adhering to the safety regulations and protocol implemented in the packaging area. • Completing all relevant documentation on the packing and maintaining the packaging machines. • Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) • A clear understanding of basic troubleshooting and machine maintenance. • A clear understanding of health and safety standards and protocols. • Excellent organizational and time management skills. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around various equipment, parts, and inventory to operate a motor vehicle and forklift; stand, walk, stoop, bend, and lift to 50 pounds. WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to various outdoor and indoor environments (i.e., general office, industrial complexes, food processing plants, semiconductor labs, clean rooms, etc., some of which can be hazardous). Temperature variances, high noise levels, and dusty environments may be encountered.
