Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Automotive Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) Travel Technician to join our Vehicle Quality team. This full-time, travel-based position involves performing high-quality dent and ding repairs at various OEM and Tier 1 manufacturing facilities across the U.S. The ideal candidate has prior PDR or collision repair experience, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable traveling for projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Paintless Dent Removal (PDR) on vehicle panels, including creases, dings, hail damage, and more
- Conduct glass chip repair and light cosmetic work
- Use PDR tools such as push bars, glue tabs, and dent rods to restore vehicle panels while preserving original paint
- Prepare vehicles for paint when necessary, through sanding, refinishing, or light welding
- Ensure all body gaps and fitments meet industry standards
- Travel to various job sites and OEM locations as needed
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in PDR or collision repair
- Must have own PDR tools and equipment
- Ability to complete repair from damage to 100% finish
- Strong working knowledge of hand and power tools (grinders, sanders, welders, etc.)
- High school diploma or GED required; automotive repair certifications or training preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights of up to 25 feet
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Proficiency in reading repair documents and basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Travel expenses and per diem are paid
- Projects vary in location and length; flexibility is essential
- Physically demanding role with long shifts and standing/moving for extended periods
