What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wash Bay Attendant position at Forge Truck Centers?
Forge Truck Centers is seeking a dependable and hardworking Wash Bay Attendant to join our team. This role is responsible for thoroughly cleaning heavy-duty trucks and maintaining a safe, organized wash bay environment. This role is full-time with guaranteed overtime working Monday-Friday, 7:00AM -4:30PM and 6:00AM- 11:00 AM on Saturdays.
This position requires someone who is not afraid to get dirty, takes pride in their work, and maintains a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash heavy-duty trucks, including wheels, undercarriages, and engine compartments
- Operate pressure washers and cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Use approved cleaning chemicals to remove dirt, grease, and debris
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the wash bay area
- Refill cleaning solutions and monitor supply inventory
- Perform general maintenance on wash equipment
- Follow safety procedures and company standards at all times
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Physically able to stand for extended periods
- Able to lift, bend, and maneuver heavy hoses and equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong work ethic
- Willingness to perform physically demanding work
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
