Forge Strategies is actively seeking a Project Manager for a growing opportunity within large-scale commercial / mission critical construction. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in technically demanding environments and can confidently manage projects from preconstruction through closeout while maintaining performance, reliability, and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the full project lifecycle onsite from planning through closeout, with a focus on mission critical performance, reliability, and uptime standards
- Coordinate daily with field superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, vendors, and client representatives to ensure smooth project execution
- Interpret and communicate plans, specifications, and technical documents into actionable field direction
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, manpower, equipment, and job progress to support financial and operational goals
- Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, change orders, progress billings, and project documentation
- Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure proper scope coverage and value
- Maintain strict quality assurance, safety, and compliance standards across all project phases
- Lead project meetings and provide clear reporting to internal leadership and client stakeholders
- Identify project risks early and implement proactive solutions before they impact schedule, budget, or execution
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent hands-on industry experience)
- 5 years of project management experience in HVAC, MEP, or commercial/industrial construction
- Mission critical, data center, or other technically demanding large-scale project experience strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of construction logistics, budgeting, cost controls, and project financials
- Proven ability to build and manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project) and familiarity with construction/project management software such as Autodesk Build, Spectrum ERP, or similar platforms
Salary : $130,000 - $155,000
