A growing MEP contractor is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to support large-scale commercial projects, including data centers, hospitals, and complex institutional builds. This is a key role working closely with preconstruction and operations teams to deliver accurate, competitive estimates on high-value projects.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates for large commercial projects
- Perform takeoffs, scope reviews, and cost analysis
- Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and preconstruction teams
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor/vendor pricing
- Identify value engineering opportunities
- Support bid submissions and client proposals
- Track project costs and maintain estimating databases
What We’re Looking For
- 3–7 years of electrical estimating experience within an MEP or electrical contractor
- Experience with large-scale projects (data centers, healthcare, industrial, or similar)
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, codes, and construction processes
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Experience with estimating software and takeoff tools
- Strong communication and organizational skills
