Sales Operations Specialist

We are partnering with a well-established organization seeking a Sales Operations Specialist to support its direct sales team and help manage customer opportunities from quote through order.

This role serves as an important link between Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, and technical teams, helping ensure quotes are accurate, customer needs are addressed, and opportunities continue moving forward. The ideal candidate is highly organized, responsive, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Essential Duties & Functions

• Support direct sales representatives throughout the quote-to-order process.
• Prepare and manage customer-specific quotations, including revisions and follow-up activities.
• Coordinate internally across Sales, Technical Sales, Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance to resolve issues and keep customer opportunities moving forward.
• Support customer projects, RFQs, and other commercial initiatives.
• Assist with pricing requests, pricing exceptions, and required approval processes.
• Help maintain accurate and consistent pricing and quotation information.
• Maintain accurate customer, opportunity, and activity information within the CRM.
• Support pipeline management and forecasting through timely opportunity updates.
• Respond to sales team and customer inquiries related to quotations, order status, and other commercial requests.
• Proactively identify and help resolve issues that could impact customers or sales opportunities.
• Maintain organized quote documentation and activity records.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent professional experience required; bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Operations, or a related field preferred.
• 3 years of experience in sales operations, commercial support, inside sales, customer service, order management, or a related role.
• Experience within a manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or B2B environment.
• Previous experience supporting customer quotations and order management processes.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow through on details.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience working within an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor, Infor, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• SAP and CRM experience, including Salesforce, Dynamics 365, HubSpot, or similar platforms, is preferred.
• Experience supporting outside sales teams and customer-specific pricing or quotation processes is a plus.
• Familiarity with industrial products or technical manufacturing environments is preferred.
