Job Title: IT Specialist
Status: Full-Time
Compensation: $25.74 – $26.92 per hour
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week

Position Summary
The IT Specialist plays a vital role in maintaining and improving QCH’s technical systems to ensure that staff have the tools they need to perform their work effectively. This role is responsible for installing and updating hardware and software, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring the security and efficiency of all technology systems. The IT Specialist also supports network management, software development, and database administration. This position reports to the IT Senior Specialist.
Primary Responsibilities
Review diagnostics and assess system functionality and efficiency
Implement and monitor security measures
Monitor security certificates and ensure agency compliance
Provide technical support and troubleshoot computer issues for staff
Install, update, and maintain software and hardware
Anticipate and report costs for equipment replacement or upgrades
Meet with departments to determine technology requirements
Define project scopes and plan timelines/resources
Travel to QCH sites as needed
Manage network, software development, and database administration functions
Define software, hardware, and network needs
Identify and resolve system issues
Prepare regular status reports
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or related technical field
Extensive experience in IT support roles
Relevant professional certifications
Strong problem-solving abilities
Proficiency in multiple programming languages
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, computer engineering, or information systems security
