We are seeking a highly experienced, professional, and dedicated Fine Dining Server to join our front-of-house team. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide immaculate, polished, and attentive table service according to Forest's high standards and steps of service.
- Develop an expert-level knowledge of the full menu, including detailed explanations of ingredients, preparation methods, and daily specials.
- Guide guests through the wine and cocktail list, offering informed recommendations and pairings to enhance their dining experience.
- Anticipate guest needs proactively, ensuring all requests are met efficiently and professionally.
- Process orders accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and elegant dining area, including proper table setting, maintenance, and detailed side work.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen, bar, and other front-of-house staff to ensure a seamless and memorable experience for every guest.
- Handle guest inquiries and minor concerns with grace, professionalism, and effective problem-solving skills.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of continuous experience as a Fine Dining Server in a high-end, full-service restaurant.
- Exceptional personal presentation and a professional demeanor suitable for a sleek, sophisticated dining room environment.
- Advanced knowledge of food, wine, liquor, and classic cocktail preparation
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to engage guests warmly and articulately.
- Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
- Must be reliable and possess full-time availability, including evenings and weekends (Restaurant hours are generally 5 PM β close, Tuesday through Saturday).
