The Opportunity: Fine Dining Host
We are seeking a dedicated, polished, and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Full-Time Fine Dining Host.
As the first and last impression of Wilder's, you are the cornerstone of our guest experience. You will manage the flow of the dining room with precision and grace, ensuring every guest is welcomed warmly and seated seamlessly into our intimate, high-energy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Experience: Warmly greet and welcome all guests upon arrival, ensuring a genuine and personalized beginning to their dining experience.
- Reservations & Seating: Manage the reservations system (Resy), strategically seating guests to optimize dining room flow and server sections, and accommodating special requests.
- Atmosphere Maintenance: Ensure the host stand, entrance, and waiting areas maintain the highest standard of cleanliness and sophisticated presentation.
- Communication: Maintain clear, professional, and constant communication with the management team, servers, and kitchen staff regarding reservations, wait times, and table statuses.
- Guest Relations: Handle phone calls with professionalism, assist guests with general inquiries, and manage a waitlist with tact and accurate estimated times.
- Departures: Thank every guest sincerely as they depart and inquire about their experience.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Previous experience in a host, concierge, or similar guest-facing role, preferably within a high-volume or fine dining restaurant environment.
- Impeccable personal presentation and professional demeanor.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.
- Proficiency with reservation software.
- A passion for delivering five-star, detailed-oriented hospitality.
- Full-time availability, must be available evenings and weekends (Our operating hours are Mon–Fri 11:30am–10pm, Sat 4pm–11pm, Sun 4pm–9pm).
