Description

Contracts Administrator

A contracts administrator manages the entire lifecycle of a contract, including drafting, negotiation and finalization.  The responsibilities include ensuring compliance with the terms and deadlines, maintaining accurate and organized records, and serving as a liaison between internal departments and external parties such as suppliers and customers.

A contracts administrator manages the entire lifecycle of a contract, including drafting, negotiation and finalization.  The responsibilities include ensuring compliance with the terms and deadlines, maintaining accurate and organized records, and serving as a liaison between internal departments and external parties such as suppliers and customers.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Contract preparation and management: Prepare and revise contracts, agreements, and amendments, and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Record keeping: Establish and maintain organized contract files, which include original documents, correspondence and amendments.
  • Communication and coordination: Serve as a liaison between departments as well as external parties and clearly communicate contract terms to all stakeholders.
  • All other job duties as assigned.

 

Key Skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of contracting policies, legal requirements, and best practices
  • Analytical and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with contract management software or ERP systems

 

Qualifications

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of previous experience in contract administration or a related role
