About the Role:
As a Grinder, you will play a critical role in the manufacturing process by preparing and finishing metal components to precise specifications. Your work will ensure that parts meet quality standards and are free from defects such as burrs or rough edges, which is essential for the safety and functionality of the final product. You will operate various grinding and cutting tools, including CNC machines and hand tools, to shape and smooth stainless steel and other metals. Attention to detail and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings are vital to achieving the required precision. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to the production of high-quality components that meet customer and industry standards within a safe and efficient work environment.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in grinding, deburring, and finishing metal components.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with operating CNC grinding machines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in machining or metal fabrication.
- Experience working with stainless steel materials.
- Knowledge of table saw operation and maintenance.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of safety standards and best practices in metalworking.
Responsibilities:
- Operate grinding machines, including CNC grinders, to shape and finish metal parts according to specifications.
- Perform deburring, trimming, and finishing tasks using hand tools and table saws to remove excess material and smooth surfaces.
- Use precision measuring instruments such as micrometers to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet tolerance requirements.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand part specifications and quality standards.
