Role: Principal Project Manager
Salary: $125,000 - $160,000
Location: Lincoln, Rhode Island
Duration: Permanent/Direct-Hire
We’re looking for a driven, experienced Project Manager to lead complex civil construction projects from planning through completion. In this role, you’ll guide teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget. You’ll be the go-to problem solver, decision-maker, and leader who keeps work moving and teams aligned.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and mentor project teams, field engineers, and subcontractors
- Oversee daily construction activities and ensure work meets safety and quality standards
- Build project schedules, allocate resources, and maintain budget control
- Review drawings, specs, and proposals while preparing accurate estimates and bid packages
- Resolve issues quickly, provide technical direction, and keep stakeholders informed
- Drive efficiency by improving processes, methods, and performance
- Prepare reports and participate in key project and client meetings
What You Bring
- 7–10 years of construction project management experience (degree preferred but not required)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read blueprints, manage multiple crews, and coordinate complex work
- Solid understanding of materials, equipment, and construction methods
- Proficiency with estimating and project management software (HCSS, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, etc.)
- A hands-on, solutions-first mindset
