What are the responsibilities and job description for the Windows Systems Engineer - Contract (On-Site) position at Food Management Search?
This is a hands-on engineering role ideal for someone who takes ownership, solves complex problems, and strengthens infrastructure reliability, performance, and security in a fast-moving environment.
Required Technical Experience:
CLOUD EXPERIENCE REQUIRED-Azure required. AWS is a plus.

Expert-level knowledge of Windows desktop and server stacks, including SQL, IIS, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, PKI, and Group Policy

Proven experience with multiple storage platforms (on-prem and cloud), covering configuration, backup, and monitoring

Deep background in virtualization technologies — Nutanix experience a plus

Skilled in endpoint management using SCCM, Intune, and Azure Arc in a distributed enterprise environment

Strong familiarity with IaaS/PaaS and Active Directory enablement across Azure and AWS

Demonstrated use of security frameworks (NIST or DISM) and enterprise risk management tools

Solid understanding of Azure and AWS networking concepts, including VPN, VNet, subnetting, and firewalls
Preferred Skills:

Nutanix (AOS/AHV/NUS)

Veeam Backup & Recovery (on-prem or cloud)

Meraki, HPE Aruba/Orchestrator, or other SD-WAN technologies
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States - no sponsorship is available. This position requires working 100% on-site at the client’s Solon, Ohio facility.
