The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced operational leader to oversee LSAW yard and port operations supporting large-diameter pipe platform. This role is responsible for the safe handling, storage, sequencing, and dispatch of heavy pipe products and coordination of inbound plate logistics and outbound rail and barge transportation.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead all LSAW yard operations including plate receiving, pipe staging, storage, and dispatch.
· Ensure project-aligned sequencing of pipe deliveries for major pipeline projects.
· Oversee port interface and barge loading operations for heavy pipe shipments.
· Coordinate rail logistics and outbound transportation planning.
· Optimize yard layout, flow, and equipment utilization to minimize congestion and re-handling.
· Maintain strict safety standards across heavy-lift and industrial yard operations.
· Collaborate with manufacturing, coating, supply chain, and project teams to ensure reliable delivery.
Candidate Profile
· 10–15 years leadership experience in heavy industrial operations, yard management, or port logistics.
· Experience handling large steel structures, pipe, plate, or heavy fabricated products.
· Strong understanding of rail logistics, marine transport, or barge operations.
· Track record of leading operational teams in safety-critical industrial environments.
· Operationally disciplined leader capable of driving efficiency and reliable project execution.
Education
· Bachelor's in Engineering degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Logistics) preferred
· or significant equivalent experience in heavy industrial operations.
