What are the responsibilities and job description for the MANAGEMENT SERVICES TECHNICIAN position at Folsom State Prison?
Under supervision of the Community Resources Manager (CRM), the Management Services Technician (MST) will perform the less difficult gathering and analysis of program information associated with the Rehabilitative Achievement Credit (RAC) earning programs, Milestone Completion Credit (MCC) earning programs, Incarcerated person Activity Groups (IAGs), Self-Help Programs, Innovative Grant Recipient (IGE) programs, Self-Help Sponsors, and Volunteers. The duties require the ability to analyze written and numerical data accurately; write and communicate effectively; interpret and edit written material; and maintain professional demeanor and confidentiality as required. The MST will assist with data and tracking of incarcerated person group activities into Strategic Offender Management System (SOMS). The MST will provide assistance and guidance to incarcerated persons while sponsoring incarcerated person group activities. MST work hours would be primarily during third watch (afternoon/evening hours) and weekends to align with the majority of RAC programs.
Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).
Newly hired State employees may be placed at the minimum of the salary range. Every 12 months, based on performance evaluation, employee may receive a 5% salary increase until they reach the maximum salary for the position.
**Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month.
