The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Math Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction and support student success in mathematics. In this role, you’ll create engaging lessons, foster critical thinking, and help students build confidence in foundational and advanced math concepts.
This position is ideal for an educator who values strong relationships, effective collaboration, and meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for future academic challenges.
What You’ll Do

Develop and implement engaging math lesson plans that support a variety of learning styles.

Create a positive, structured, and student-centered classroom environment.

Assess and monitor student progress through assignments, assessments, and observations.

Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to promote student achievement.

Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional learning.

Integrate problem-solving, real-world applications, and mathematical reasoning into daily instruction.

Support high expectations and build strong, trusting relationships with students.

Perform additional duties as assigned to support school initiatives.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field.

NC Teaching Certification in Mathematics (preferred).

Previous experience teaching within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Programme preferred.

Strong communication, organizational, and instructional skills.

Knowledge of the North Carolina Standard Course of Study (NCSCOS) for Mathematics.

Passion for teaching and a strong commitment to student development and academic growth.
