CDCA Group Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate CDCA Group Specialist to join our dedicated team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive behavioral health services, AOD group therapy, crisis intervention, and case management, to diverse populations. Your expertise will support individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health challenges, and complex medical needs across outpatient and inpatient settings. Duties

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including intake interviews and diagnostic evaluations.
• Deliver individual, group, and family counseling sessions incorporating modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
• Implement crisis management strategies and crisis intervention techniques to ensure patient safety during acute episodes or behavioral escalations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop personalized care plans that address mental health, behavioral issues, developmental disabilities, and chronic pain management.
• Maintain meticulous medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, documenting patient progress, treatment notes, and medical terminology accurately within electronic health record systems.
• Facilitate telehealth sessions when appropriate to expand access to care for remote or underserved populations.
• Support research initiatives by collecting data on patient outcomes and participating in clinical research projects related to behavioral health and mental health counseling.

Skills

• Proven experience in psychotherapy, motivational interviewing, child & family counseling, and working with children with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder.
• Strong background in crisis intervention, behavior management, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and PTSD care.
• Familiarity with ICD-9/ICD-10 coding systems for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation.
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health and mental health conditions.
• Skilled in case management, patient assessment, outpatient clinical procedures, and inpatient care coordination.
• Experience with telehealth platforms and delivering services via virtual modalities.
• Ability to handle complex cases involving special education needs or geriatrics with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Excellent communication skills for individual/group counseling sessions and interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Competence in applying evidence-based practices such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, applied behavior analysis (ABA), and psychopharmacology principles when applicable.
