Job Opportunity: Mortgage Underwriter

Key Responsibilities

Join our clients dynamic team as a Mortgage Underwriter and play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth processing of mortgage applications. Our client is seeking qualified candidates who can bring their expertise to the following responsibilities:

• Verify the completeness and accuracy of all required documentation.
• Collaborate with Processors and the CDF team to streamline workflow.
• Adhere to U.S. Treasury guidelines for meticulous compliance.
• Assess eligibility and determine assistance amounts for qualified applicants.
• Communicate with Underwriters/Processors to address questions related to eligibility and documentation.
• Engage with applicants through our online portal to resolve application issues efficiently.
• Respond promptly and professionally to applicant inquiries regarding eligibility and application completion.
• Report barriers to application completion and technical issues to the manager for swift resolution.
  
  

Communication Skills

• Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Respond courteously to customer inquiries via email and telephone, ensuring satisfactory issue resolution.
• Send additional document request notifications within compliance timeframes.
• Dispatch approval, denial, and appeal decision letters in accordance with compliance deadlines.
• Manage written correspondence between applicants and consumer credit counseling services.
  
  

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Mortgage Underwriter (minimum 1-2 years).
• Availability to work Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Onsite position in the vibrant Atlanta area.
  
  

Compensation

• Hourly Rate: $24.00
