Overview

We are seeking a Business Operations Director to oversee financial and operational functions within a structured, mission-driven environment. This is a hands-on leadership role offering direct visibility into senior leadership and the opportunity to influence both financial performance and day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in budgeting, accounting, and operational oversight, along with the ability to lead initiatives, improve processes, and support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
• Oversee accounting functions, including reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls
• Manage day-to-day business operations to support program effectiveness
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Support procurement processes and vendor coordination
• Partner with leadership to align financial and operational strategies
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
• Supervise and develop staff as applicable
• Prepare and present financial and operational reports to leadership

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, finance, or business operations
• At least 2 years of leadership or supervisory experience
• Strong understanding of budgeting, financial reporting, and internal controls
• Experience in government, military, nonprofit, or regulated environments preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Effective communication and leadership abilities
