Position Summary
The Interim Vice President, Resident Services is a senior leadership role responsible for driving resident engagement, enhancing the overall resident experience, and advancing programs that promote economic mobility and quality of life. This position provides strategic direction and operational oversight for resident-focused initiatives while fostering strong relationships with community partners, government agencies, and key stakeholders.
This role requires both visionary leadership and hands-on execution to ensure the successful development and delivery of programs that support individuals and families in achieving independence and long-term success.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Execution
- Lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide resident services programs focused on economic empowerment, education, and overall well-being
- Design and support initiatives that promote self-sufficiency, workforce readiness, and long-term financial stability
- Oversee programs that support youth development, educational advancement, and career readiness
- Champion initiatives that promote healthy aging and improve quality of life for senior populations
- Address and resolve resident concerns while ensuring compliance with program guidelines and policies
- Identify opportunities to enhance service delivery and improve resident outcomes
Stakeholder Engagement & Partnerships
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships with nonprofit organizations, service providers, and community-based organizations
- Collaborate with public and private sector stakeholders to support housing, education, and community development initiatives
- Represent the organization in meetings, events, and community engagements to strengthen external relationships
- Provide strategic guidance to senior leadership on community relations and stakeholder engagement efforts
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of resident services professionals
- Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and accountability measures for team members
- Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and mission-driven work environment
Community Impact & Outreach
- Promote community engagement through volunteer initiatives and resident-focused events
- Support outreach efforts to connect residents with resources and services
- Assist individuals and families in transitioning toward economic independence
Operations & Strategy
- Oversee program performance, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Support marketing, communications, and special projects as needed
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Master’s degree in Human Services, Public Administration, Social Work, Business, or a related field
- 10 years of leadership experience in resident services, human services, community development, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of affordable housing programs and related regulations (e.g., HUD programs)
Skills & Competencies
- Proven leadership and team management experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships
- Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Work Environment
- Primarily office-based with frequent local travel
- Requires a valid driver’s license and ability to travel within the local area

- This position is structured as a contract engagement. The selected candidate will be employed by a third-party staffing partner and will operate within the organization’s established policies, procedures, and compliance guidelines.
