This role is accountable for ensuring that projects stay on track, issues are identified early, and the team is aligned and performing at a high level. You will work closely with superintendents and internal support teams to deliver successful projects on schedule and within budget.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Serving as the primary client contact and ensuring consistent, professional communication throughout the project
- Leading and managing the project team, including superintendents and assistant project managers
- Overseeing all aspects of project execution from preconstruction through closeout
- Identifying issues early and leading efforts to resolve them efficiently
- Managing subcontractor relationships, including scopes, contracts, execution, and performance
- Leading subcontractor buyout, scope reviews, and contract negotiations
- Reviewing and maintaining project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
- Establishing and maintaining project schedules and driving progress with the field team
- Managing material procurement and coordinating with internal teams
- Preparing and managing RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Leading project meetings, including kickoff, progress, and internal coordination meetings
- Ensuring weekly reporting and communication is completed and shared with clients
- Coordinating with accounting on billing and invoice tracking
- Driving project closeout, including punch list completion, inspections, and final documentation
- 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and drive accountability
- Experience working with subcontractors, contracts, and project scopes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain project timelines
- Strong communication skills with both clients and internal teams
- Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and cost control
- Familiarity with construction management software (Procore preferred)
- Willingness to travel based on project needs
