We are seeking an Indian specialty cook with experience at our EWR Unit.
Essential Functions
- Expertly prepare and cook a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes, including curries, biryanis, tandoori items, and appetizers, following traditional recipes.
- Utilize classic Indian cooking methods-roasting, braising, simmering-to maximize flavor and authenticity.
- Maintain precise recipe adherence and portion control to ensure consistent quality
- Monitor ingredients levels, minimize waste, and uphold high culinary standards
- Work efficiently across multiple kitchen stations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and organization in compliance with hygiene and sanitation regulations
- Follow all food safety protocols under the Food Safety Management System
- Identify and report any food safety or operational concerns to management
- Support daily operations through inventory management, food preparation, and other assigned kitchen tasks.
- Must train your team in all aspects from prepping to cooking.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2 years Cook experience in specified type of Cuisine with a minimum of 1 years as a Lead Cook in a high volume cooking institution/airline catering
- Experience with multi-airlines (international customers preferred)
- Ability to read, speak and write English
- Good organization and communication skills
- Bilingual necessary-Specialty language and English
