We are seeking a Dry Ice Plant Operator to join our team! This position will assist with tasks such as production, packaging of dry ice, shipping preparation, and loading/unloading products in commercial trucks.
Essential Functions
- Produce, load and package dry ice on a daily basis in accordance with quality standards
- Operates dry ice machine, packaging machine, forklift and/or pallet jack daily to maneuver and load dry ice boxes on the production floor and trailers
- Learns and complies with all safety and quality policies and procedures
- Cleanup work areas including, but not limited to sweeping, painting, trash removal, and pick-up
- Participates in continuous improvement efforts
- A team builder with the ability to lead and motivate diverse management and hourly staff and build a positive employee relations culture and work environment
Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of internal policies and procedures.
- Competent to work independently within the area of expertise.
- Ability to solve quality-related problems.
- Ability to deal with a variety of compliance situations and implement continuous improvement.
- Knows and follows all safety requirements; strives to maintain a safe work environment.
- Must be able to function within a team environment.
- Assist as directed on ad hoc projects.
- High School degree or equivalent preferred.
- Food Service experience preferred
- High degree of integrity and openness in reporting responsibilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
