Order Engineering Summer Intern

Role Summary

The Order Engineering Co-op/Intern will function as a member of the Product Engineering department and will support, maintain, and develop orders and analysis of order data that runs through engineering. Data in terms of order accuracy, OTD, and Lead times.

The internship will start in June 2026 and will end in August 2026.

Work schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Location: Lynchburg, VA

Responsibilities:

• Support Order engineering in developing/updating automation for metrics tracking.
• Improving processing standards, BOMs, and product documentation for mechanical actuator product line.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of all products and components through thorough design validation and strict adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
• Thoroughly document projects, designs, test procedures, test results, etc.
• Ensure that projects are executed to achieve cost and time goals.

Requirements:

• Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. or M.E. in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Works under immediate supervision.
• Must be U.S. citizen
  
  

Preferred:

• Understanding of mechanical components (gears, couplings, assemblies)
• Proficient with Excel and Microsoft tools
• Microsoft tools programming experience (Excel VBA, etc.)
