POSITION SUMMARY:
You will be responsible for supporting the accounting department with various financial tasks, including processing transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. The Accounting Associate will collaborate with other team members to ensure financial compliance and support the overall financial health of the organization.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Transaction Processing: Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Data Entry: Enter financial data into accounting systems, maintaining accuracy and completeness.
- Account Reconciliations: Assist in reconciling bank statements, credit card statements, and other accounts to ensure accuracy.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including filing and documentation of transactions.
- Expense Reporting: Review and process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Support Month-End Close: Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing journal entries and reconciliations.
- Budget Assistance: Support the budgeting process by gathering and organizing relevant financial information.
- Audit Support: Provide documentation and support during internal and external audits.
- Invoice Processing: Receive and verify invoices for goods and services, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies.
- Systems and Tools: Utilize accounting software and ERP systems (such as SAP, Expensify, etc.) to manage accounting functions efficiently.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, policies, and procedures.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this role, the employee will primarily work in a professional office environment within the corporate headquarters. The office environment is typically well-lit, climate-controlled, and equipped with standard office equipment.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Two to four years of related accounting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Proficiency in accounting software and databases; experience with ERP systems is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Follow company rules and policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, attend all required safety training and wear required safety equipment per related safety SOP'S.
