Responsibilities
- Assist Lead Tech, and BHT Supervisor with the supervision of clients in their daily activities.
- Ensure the clients follow treatment schedule.
- Transport clients to and from medical and other appointments or other critical needs as they arise.
- Transport clients to and from treatment, shopping, meetings and appointments as needed.
- Conducts continuous rounds and constantly monitors all clients throughout the duration of their treatment stay, including during all clinical programming, recreational activities, meals, onsite and offsite activities, and residential living areas and client apartments.
- Monitor sign out sheet for medication, clients are responsible to retrieve their own medication, we do not disperse any medication
- Redirecting and reporting clients if rules are broken.
- Responsible for understanding and enforcing Program Rules at all levels of care.
- Responsible for understanding BHT P&Ps and SOPs.
- Ensure the BHT office and client group rooms are clean.
- General maintenance duties as assigned by Lead Tech or BHT Supervisor.
- Assist with client funds as needed.
- Arrange housing for new clients coming in and assist with transitioning clients going to another level of care.
- Monitor client shopping.
- May be required to conduct chemical dependency group and individual counseling sessions.
- Seeks corrective criticism and has the ability to evaluate suggestions objectively.
- Report to work as assigned.
- Maintains acceptable overall attendance.
- Promotes a favorable/positive work atmosphere.
- Attends inservices and educational training as necessary and as assigned.
- Seeks out learning experiences and incorporates new knowledge into practice.

- Maintains safety of the physical environment.
- Communicate in a professional manner with proper use of telephone etiquette.

- Knowledge of policies and procedures pertaining to attendance and punctuality.
- Reports to work as assigned.
- Understand and adhere to legal guidelines pertaining to client confidentiality and client rights.
- Maintains acceptable overall attendance.
- Perform duties independently, taking a proactive approach to problem situations, seeking supervision on an as needed basis.
- Maintains safety of the physical environment.
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Graduate or equivalent preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years driving experience and at least six (6) months of experience in the field of chemical dependency/substance abuse/psychiatric setting or human services field is preferred.
- Valid Florida Driver’s License approved by Insurance Carrier.
- Ability to build rapport with clients.
- Ability to work as a team member and have management, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under stressful conditions and be flexible in relation to department needs.
- Ability to multitask.
- Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards within the Department.
- Knowledge of Electronic Client Medical Record.
- Knowledge of Client Program Rules.
- Demonstrates Proficiency in Verbal & Written Communication Skills.
- Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality Laws.
- Knowledge of Corporate Integrity & Compliance Program.
- Knowledge of current utilized technology.
- Knowledge of 12-Step Programs (addiction and recovery)
