FFVA Mutual Insurance Co. is a mono-line workers’ compensation carrier, rated A- (Excellent) by A.M. Best. We insure a variety of businesses across ten states and are recruiting for an Underwriting Assistant to join the team in our Maitland, FL office.

Responsibilities:
· Open, sort and separate mail. Scan in hard copy and emails and index in system based on information in documentation and prescribed procedures. Index and assign documents including endorsements, returned and general mail. Process Uncategorized mail in WCXP daily.
· Answer customer support emails, including marketing emails that relate; back up billing email support; new user registrations and log in assistance
· Enter submissions into the system in accordance with Underwriting requirements - 30DNOC, waivers, send copy of mod and policy requests.
· Create letters and prepare certified mail documentation for notifications related to cancellations and audit noncompliance.
· Loss Run requests as needed
· Stuff audit statements in envelope/Give credits to AP or UW Support Manager.
· Monthly duties: Mail FL renewal labels/send VA/GA/TN to Claims by the 15th each month; Sort and stuff dividend checks in the week of the 15th; Agency E&O email reminders as needed.
· Reception desk coverage for lunch and breaks as needed.
· Back-up for Loss control indexing (when needed)
· Back up Billing when primary bill person is out (Print statements, Pre-termination list, cover calls when billing is out plus overflow calls daily, billing emails when Billing is out
Qualifications/Requirements:
· High level of interpersonal and customer service skills. Demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy. Able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Excellent phone skills.
· Superior computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
· Must be able to work in a fast-paced team environment with demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing tasks and demands. Careful self-proofing of work with high accuracy in data entry.
· Entry level role; previous worker’s compensation experience preferred but not required.
