Florida Design Consultants (FDC) is seeking an Administrative Assistant / Receptionist to support daily office operations while serving as the welcoming face and voice of our organization.

This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and naturally hospitable, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of professionalism.

Position Overview:

The Administrative Assistant / Receptionist plays a critical role in ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations while creating a professional and welcoming environment for clients, visitors, and team members.

This position is responsible for front desk operations, administrative support, and assisting with general office coordination.

What You’ll Do:

Front Desk & Client Experience

  • Greet visitors and create a welcoming, professional first impression
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls or direct to voicemail as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable reception area

Administrative Support

  • Prepare and format documents, including contracts and correspondence
  • Assist team members with administrative needs as requested
  • Support internal communication and coordination across departments

Office Coordination

  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail (USPS, FedEx, courier services)
  • Order food and coordinate setup for meetings and events
  • Ensure conference rooms are clean, stocked, and properly set up

General Office Support

  • Assist with day-to-day office needs and special projects
  • Help maintain organization and efficiency across administrative functions

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word (required)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (preferred)
  • Experience with PowerPoint or presentation software (a plus)
