Vice President of Construction
Position Overview
Under the Direction of the COO, the Vice President of Construction is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational execution, and performance of all construction activities for Ultra high-end projects in both Hospitality and Residential, Penthouse and Ground Up. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest craftsmanship and quality standards. It also aligns construction operations with the company’s craftsperson heritage, technical excellence, and brand reputation.

Oversees: Directors, Project Executives, Construction Managers
Core Responsibilities
Executive Leadership and Strategy
Define and execute the construction strategy across all regions and divisions
Align operations with company growth, profitability, and brand positioning
Support expansion into new markets and project types including
Project Oversight and Execution
Provide executive oversight of all construction projects
Ensure compliance with budgets, schedules, and quality standards
Lead resolution of high-risk or complex project issues
Preconstruction and Technical Excellence
Oversee preconstruction strategy including estimating, planning, and constructability
Ensure integration of architectural intent, engineering requirements, and craftsmanship execution
Team Leadership and Organizational Development
Build and lead high-performing construction teams
Mentor Project Executives, Directors of Construction, and site leadership
Establish clear accountability and performance standards
Client and Stakeholder Management
Serve as executive point of contact for developers, corporate clients, and architects
Lead high-level negotiations and relationship management
Represent the company in strategic client engagements
Financial and Risk Management
Oversee project financial performance and forecasting
Manage risk related to contracts, execution, and compliance
Approve major contracts, budgets, and change strategies
Quality, Craftsmanship and Brand Protection
Ensure projects reflect custom expertise, artisanal quality, and attention to detail
Drive continuous improvement in construction methodologies
Vendor and Consultant Oversight
Lead selection and management of contractors, artisans, and consultants
Ensure alignment with company standards and expectations
Key Qualifications
Experience
15 years in construction leadership
Experience in high-end or luxury construction
Proven leadership of multi-project portfolios
Technical and Leadership Skills
Deep knowledge of construction delivery methods and preconstruction through execution
Strong financial and operational management capability
Ability to lead both craft-driven teams and corporate structures
