Responsibilities
The Coordinator, Academic Programs will provide personalized academic coaching and guidance to students to help them achieve their academic goals and maximize their educational potential; Utilize analytical insights, degree academic planning tools, and various technology tools to deliver consistently high-quality services to FAMU students; and build relationships and listens to undergraduate students as they develop/monitor degree plans and assist with registration and enrolment campaigns.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in appropriate area of specialization and two years of related experience; or a master's degree in appropriate area of specialization.
Recommended Competencies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
Ability to work effectively with a multicultural student population;
Knowledge of academic support services and resources available on campus;
Familiarity with student development theory and best practices in academic coaching;
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with students; and,
Commitment to promoting student success and retention.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree preferred; and two years experience working in higher education, particularly in academic advising or coaching.
Anticipated Salary Range
$43,260.00 to $43,260.00
Pay Plan
This is an Administrative and Professional (A&P) position.

An official college transcript, a high school diploma, or other educational documents must be submitted, where applicable, at the time of employment.
