Florida A&M University's Department of Chemistry is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the Assistant Professor vacancy.
Responsibilities
Responsible for teaching, research, and other university activities including service to department and university; and perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
PhD in Experimental Physical Chemistry or Inorganic Chemistry is required. Preference will be given to candidates with post-doctoral experience in Experimental Physical Chemistry or Inorganic Chemistry.

Ability to show high level of scientific creativity;
Ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses;
Ability to teach collaboratively with faculty across disciplines;
Ability to engage undergraduate and graduate students in research;

Ability to secure external funding to establish and sustain research programs;
Excellent communication skills are required;
Ability to clearly communicate scientific information, both written and orally; and,
Ability to demonstrate competency in the infusion of modern technology into teaching.

Successful candidate is subject to a pre-employment screening which includes a review of criminal records, reference checks and verification of education. An official college transcript, a high school diploma, or other educational documents must be submitted, where applicable, at the time of employment.
