Early Childhood Support Staff (2 Part-Time Positions)
Florence Crittenton Family Services - Child Enrichment Center
Florence Crittenton is hiring caring and dependable team members to support our early childhood classrooms serving childrenages 0–5. We currently have two part-time opportunities available: Teacher Float and Early Childhood Substitute Teacher.
Both roles help create a safe, engaging, and nurturing learning environment while supporting our teaching team and young learners.
Position 1 - Early Childhood Teacher Float
Pay: $15.00 – $15.75 per hour, DOE
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 12:30 pm – 4:30 pm (20 hours/week)
Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Note: This is a year-round position (not seasonal).
What You'll Do
- Support classrooms with play-based learning and activities
- Assist with transitions, meals, rest time, and daily routines
- Encourage social-emotional development and cooperative play
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers and staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Passion for working with young children
- Flexible, reliable, and team-oriented
- Ability to pass a background check
Early childhood experience is preferred but not required.
Position 2 - Early Childhood Substitute Teacher
Pay: $16.50 per hour
Schedule: Varies based on program needs, flexible
Status: Sub, Non-Exempt, not a benefit-eligible position
What You'll Do
- Step into classrooms when staff are absent
- Assist with lesson plans and classroom activities
- Support children’s learning and development
- Maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
- Communicate with staff and follow program procedures
Qualifications
- Interest in early childhood education
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classrooms
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
Previous preschool or classroom experience is helpful but not required.
