The Project Manager is responsible for the county’s Capital Projects Sales Tax (CPST) projects and other special infrastructure, building, and cost savings projects that may be assigned. This position also serves as the coordinator for the county’s Keep Florence Beautiful campaign.

Essential Functions
- Works closely with Deputy Administrator-Administration, project engineers, department directors, regulatory agencies, and contractors when required.
- Provides assistance to administration, department heads, grants manager, and elected officials to help develop and undertake projects.
- Responsible for budgeting, contract management, and showcasing projects on the county website through collaborating with Florence County IT and GIS departments.
- Prepares and or reviews council agenda approval fact sheets when needed.
- Serves as the county representative for Keep Florence Beautiful and aids in the coordination of events, board meetings, and supplies. Works with different county departments and municipalities to achieve the board’s goals.
- Performs administrative duties.
- Performs all other related duties as required.
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree and/or at 4 years of experience in a related field with considerable experience in project management, construction management, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
- Knowledge and skills in budgeting for capital improvements, reviewing building and infrastructure construction cost estimates, change orders, and designs.
- Prepare RFP’s, RFQ’s, and scopes of work.
- Skills in public and private industry interpersonal relations and oral and written communication is required.
- Operates a variety of office equipment.

- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, carry, move and lift 10 lb. objects regularly.
