Role Description The Account Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Easton, MD and Chestertown, MD. This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial or personal insurance accounts, serving as the primary point of contact for clients. Day-to-day responsibilities include handling policy renewals, processing endorsements, assisting with new business proposals, and responding to client inquiries about coverage, billing, and claims. The Account Manager collaborates with producers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure accurate documentation, timely delivery of insurance materials, and a high level of client satisfaction. The role also involves reviewing coverage options, identifying opportunities for cross-selling services such as bonding, marine, agribusiness, and employee benefits, and maintaining organized records in the agency management system.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to explain insurance concepts clearly and support clients with empathy and professionalism.
- Solid organizational and time-management abilities, including attention to detail, follow-through on tasks, and proficiency with office software and agency management systems.
- Knowledge of property and casualty insurance; familiarity with commercial, personal, bonding, marine, agribusiness, or employee benefits lines is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Easton, MD or Chestertown, MD, collaborate effectively with colleagues, and handle multiple client requests in a fast-paced setting.
