What are the responsibilities and job description for the AIRCRAFT ELECTRICIAN position at FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST?
You will serve as an Aircraft Electrician in the MRO Production Department, Production Lines Division of FLEET READINESS CENTER SOUTHWEST.

This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: ABILITY TO DO THE WORK OF THE POSITION WITHOUT MORE THAN NORMAL SUPERVISION:
(1) Applying comprehensive knowledge of electrical theory, principles, circuitry, thorough knowledge of electrical systems, and their interrelationship of working knowledge of electronic principles; (2) Recognizing actual circuit configuration on schematics, and diagrams; (3) Tracing signal paths through printed circuits and aircraft wiring in order to troubleshoot, modify, repair, overhaul and maintain complete electrical systems on board aircraft, such as antiskid, automatic flight control and fuel indicating systems; (4) Disassembling, repairing, modifying, assembling, listing, installing and maintaining of aircraft electrical systems, equipment and accessories, auto flight controls, fire detection instrumentation, power distribution, fuel indicating systems and utilities used in/on fixed and rotary wing aircraft; (5) Possessing skill in using test equipment such as Automatic test equipment (ATE), oscilloscopes, multimeters, meggers, phase meters and frequency meters as well as any other test equipment specific to the trade; (6) Demonstrating knowledge of aircraft power supply equipment to the extent of connecting and applying power to aircraft; and (7) Planning the sequence and determining the extent and nature of repairs necessary to correct electrical faults on board aircraft. I am considered an expert and work with a high degree of independence.
