About us
Flat Tire Lounge is a destination bar in Madrid, IA located right on the world-famous High Trestle Trail, only 2 1/2 miles from the High Trestle Bridge. We are customer-centric, fast-paced and fun bar with an on-site food truck, live entertainment and numerous events throughout the year. Bicyclist from all over the US and many foreign countries make it a point to stop at Flat Tire while they are experiencing the beatiful High Trestle Trail.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Take customer orders and provide recommendations on drink selections
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for alcohol consumption
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
- Handle cash transactions and operate the cash register
- Provide excellent customer service and address customer inquiries or concerns promptly
Experience:
- Previous experience working as a bartender in a catering, brewing, restaurant, or banquet setting is preferred
- Knowledge of different types of alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, and brewing techniques
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and cashiering duties
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members
- Basic math skills for accurately processing payments and making change
Note: Experience in the food service industry or hospitality sector is a plus.
