Summary
Seeking a Scientist II to support skin and ocular drug delivery programs using tissue‑based and histological methods. The role focuses on evaluating drug delivery, penetration, and biological response in support of translational and preclinical development.
Responsibilities
- Support skin and/or ocular drug delivery studies (e.g., intravitreal, subcutaneous, transdermal).
- Perform tissue processing, embedding, sectioning (paraffin & frozen).
- Conduct IHC, IF, and histological staining to assess delivery and efficacy.
- Collaborate with drug delivery, formulation, and translational teams.
- Analyze data, optimize protocols, and maintain compliant documentation.
Requirements
- MS in Biology, Biomedical, or related field (BS strong experience acceptable).
- 3–5 years’ experience in drug delivery, translational research, or pharma/biotech.
- Hands‑on experience with skin or ocular tissues tied to delivery or dosing studies.
- Strong histology skills (paraffin, cryosectioning, IHC/IF).
- Ability to troubleshoot and work cross‑functionally.
Preferred
- Experience in ocular (intravitreal) or skin (subQ/transdermal) delivery programs.
- Exposure to ophthalmology or dermatology pipelines.
