Job Summary: In accordance with the organization’s mission, vision and values, the COTI RN is responsible for supporting general medical administrative & programmatic oversight of all clients as it relates to medical compliance. The following duties will apply:
Duties
- Assures that all clients’ medical files are in compliance with Agency and regulatory polices, practices and procedures.
- Provide direction, supervision and assistance to program staff where there are medical concerns; including on call support where necessary.
- Responds appropriately to crisis and emergency situations in order to ensure/secure the health and safety of the clients. Adheres to regulatory guidelines and follows-up by appropriate communication and documentation.
- Participate in general, staff, in-service and supervisory meetings held by the Agency.
- Coordinate ongoing support/care utilizing the outreach board.
- Conducts other related Agency training as directed and within area of expertise.
- Perform other duties and functions as directed.
- Provide health assessments in community to determine treatment needs and help facilitate appropriate referrals.
Minimum Qualifications: Current NYS RN. Valid NYS Drivers’ License. Behavioral health background preferred.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with culturally diverse persons, staff and community service providers.
- Working knowledge of behavioral health.
- Ability to multi-task, have good problem solving & time management skills.
- Recognition and understanding of the scope of practice according to the Nurse Practice Act.
